What does Palantier actually do?
In response to a detailed request for Wired comment, Lisa Gordon said in a statement that the company is “proud to support the US government, especially our fighters”, and that it has never been prevented from its founding mission “to support the West and empower the world’s most important institutions”. Gordon added that the free letter was signed by Palaantir only by a small portion of approximately 8,000 employees and graduates of the company.
Dawn of Big Data
Below Jargon and marketing, Palantier sells tools that their customers – non -profit companies, government agencies – through data. What makes Palantier different from other technical companies is the scale and range of its products. According to the 2022 analysis of Palaantir’s proposals published by Blogger and Rogojan Data Engineer, they can purchase a system and use it to replace dozens of dashboards and other programs.
Importantly, Palaantir does not reinforce the buckets and pipes of a company, which means that how data collects or how it moves into the intestines of an organization does not change. Instead, its software is on top of the dirty customer’s systems and allows them to integrate and analyze the data without the need to fix the basic architecture. In some ways, this is a technical band. Theoretically, this makes Palaantir, especially for government agencies, that they may use advanced software that dates back to the 1960s with programming languages.
Palantier began to increase steam in the 2010s, a decade when corporate trade discourse was dominated by “big data”. Hundreds of technical toddlers hoped to disrupt the market using information that is now easily accessible thanks to smartphones and internet sensors. Drug addiction around Big Data puts pressure on companies, especially in heritage brands without advanced technical knowledge, to update its software, otherwise the danger seems to be like dinosaurs to their customers and investors.
But updating computer systems that may be years or even decades is not exactly easy or cheap. Instead of tearing everything and re -creating, companies may design a solution to slap on top of what is currently present. This is where Palantier comes in.
Palaantir software is designed using non -technical users. Instead of relying on specialized technical teams to analyze and analyze data, Palantir allows people to get insight into an organization, sometimes without writing a single code line. All they have to do is log in to one of the two main Palaantir operating systems: casting, for business users or Gotham to enforce law and government users.

Foundry focuses on helping jobs to use data to do things such as inventory management, factory line monitoring, and tracking order tracking. At the same time, Gotham is a research tool specifically for police and government customers designed to connect people, places and events of interest to law enforcement. There is also Apollo, which is like a control panel for transportation of automatic software to casting or Gotham and artificial intelligence platforms, a set of artificial intelligence tools that can be integrated into Gotham or casting.
Foundry and Gotham are similar: they consume both data and give people a washed platform to work with it. The main difference between them is about their data. Gotham provides information that the government or customers may have law enforcement, including cases such as crime reports, reservation reports, or information collected by summoning a social media company. Gotham then extracts each person, place and details that may be related. Customers must already have data they want to work with – Palaantir does not provide any.
