TulSi Gabbard reused the same password in different accounts for years

Tulsi Gabbard, According to the leak records reviewed by Wired, the National Intelligence Manager used the same password cracked for various online accounts over a period of year. After his involvement in a signal group chat, the sensitive details of an unwanted military operation were shared with a journalist, the revelation raises other questions about the US spy chief’s security practices.

The wire examined Gabard’s passwords using online data databases created by open -source information companies of District 4 Laboratory and Constlla Information. Gabdard served in Congress from 2013 to 2021, during which he was sitting on the Armed Services Committee, its subsidiary of information and special operations and the Foreign Affairs Committee, giving him access to sensitive information. Violations show that in part of this course, he used the same password on several email addresses and online accounts, contrary to the best stabilized ways of online security. (There are no signs of using the password in government accounts.)

Two sets of violated records have been released in 2017 (but on some previous unknown dates), known as “Combolists”, showcase the password used for an email account related to his personal website. The same password, according to a collector published in 2019, was used with his Gmail account. According to the 2012 records, the same password has been used for Dropbox and LinkedIn accounts related to his personal website email address. According to the 2018 violation records, he also used it in a MyFitnessPal account associated with a mee.com email address and an account at Hautelook, an e -commerce site now owned by Nordstrom.

The records of these violations have been available online for years and are available in commercial databases.

The password associated with all the accounts includes the word “shreddha”, which seems to be of personal importance to Gabard: Earlier this year, the Wall Street Journal reported that he had begun to the Foundation for Identity Science, an exhibition of the Krishna rabbit movement, which he was born and former members. Several former fans told the journal that they believe that Gabrod received the name “Shreddha Dasi” when it is said to have been accepted to the group. The deputy chief of staff of Gabard, Alexa Henning, at the time, sent them to X and accuses news media of promoting “Hindu smears and other lies” answered questions from the magazine.

Gabard’s spokesman Olivia Coleman, in response to Wired questions, wrote: “Violations of the data you are referring to have occurred almost 10 years ago, and the passwords have changed several times since then.” “Since our deputy chief of staff has already clarified in several cases, DNI never depends on that organization.

Responding to a follow -up question about the possibility of Gabard’s password, according to his denial, he wrote: “Your big and stained lies have been mentioned from a cabinet and your story about Hinduopopia.” “This was well filed at his confirmation session, so he was committed to this story about six months later. Excellent work.”
