The rates continue to decrease despite the reduction of customs tariffs in the United States
Global air rates decreased a little again last week, according to the latest data from the TAC index. The global air freight index in the Baltic (Bai00), which was calculated by TAC, decreased by 1.0 percent a week to May 19, leaving it by 5.1 percent less year on year.
Numbers indicate that there was no immediate recovery in the prices that follow the agreement between the United States and China to reduce levels of superior mutual tariffs-at least for the next 90 days.
Outside China, prices have generally rose to Europe but have decreased on the roads to the United States, with the end of the minimum minimum packages that began to affect sizes as expected, despite the last commercial deal. The Hong Kong Road Index (Bai30) increased by 0.1 percent a week per week, although it remains a 3.3 percent decrease on an annual basis.
