The ECS group as the GSSA partner was chosen for the global abdominal charging of Asiana Airlines
ECS Group was chosen by ASIANA Airlines as an exclusive international partner to manage the international abdominal shipping business of the airline. The GSSA Strategic Convention enhances ECS Group in providing smooth and global charging solutions in the world and supports the development of Asian logistics after withdrawing the shipping department.
As of August 1, ECS Group provides comprehensive services-including sales, reservations, customer service and coordination of ground handling -3 major locations in 9 countries across Europe, Americans, China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
With more than 60 countries and partnerships with more than 100 airlines around the world, ECS Group brings the size, local experience and operating excellence needed to support global abdominal charges in Asia at every point of communication.
“We are honored to share a partnership with Asiana Airlines and we are proud of the experience our teams bring to this cooperation. Benefit from the global network of the ECS group, we are committed to supporting Asiana Airlines lines with reliable, effective and designed charging solutions all over the world,” said Jean -Sikkaladi, CEO of ECS Group.
ASANA Airlines has moved to a fully-based model, using the bottom reservation of the passenger plane-including the A350-900, which provides up to 18 tons of charging capacity. The airline strategically focuses on transporting high charges and time time such as semiconductor ingredients, fresh food and small fast charging.
According to Aseana airline official, “by combining the global network of the ECS group and Asiana experience, we will respond proactively to the global air freight market. We will continue to provide systematic and specialized services to move forward.”
This exclusive partnership enables Asiana to maintain a competitive advantage in the field of international logistical services, even after selling its shipping operations – it was implemented in response to organizational directives from the European and Japanese authorities.
In 2024, ASANA loaded about 158,000 tons of loading the abdomen on international passengers. As ECS Group is now running its goods strategy, the airline is in a good position to expand its global scope while ensuring operating excellence and customer satisfaction.
