The Caspian Air Cargo Summit summit opens in Baku with a strong focus on the middle corridor and logistical integration
- The tenth Caspian Air Cargo summit in Baku was opened on September 23, with senior government leaders and executives in the industry who confirm Azerbaijan’s ambitions to become a major center for European logistics services.
- It is hosted by Silk Way West Airlines at the BAKU Conference Center, the assembly collects for three days of stakeholders from all over the world to discuss the dynamics of the transformation of shipping, the elasticity of the supply chain and the role of the expanding region in international trade.

Akundov emphasized the Airport and Cargo Village project as a teacher in developing the airline. It is covered by 750 hectares, the axis is built through a partnership between the public and private sectors and will provide “unprecedented chances of trade along the middle path” while strengthening the role of Azerbaijan as a strategic aviation center. The signed agreements include a joint venture with NAVOI to work as a new airport treatment operator, Memoranda with Execujet and GULFSTREAM to expand flight and commercial maintenance services.
“The summit will again provide a platform to discuss the future of the goods flying, the driving forces in our industry, the daily challenges we face and the next opportunities,” said Akundov, pointing to digitization and sustainability as priorities for discussion in the coming days.
