The best fans in the China House of Representatives seek to brief the Tiktok deal

On Friday, MP John Molinaar, head of the Mukhtar Committee of the House of Representatives in China, said that he requested a “urgent” briefing from the administration about the deal that President Trump agreed to keep Tijook available in the United States

“The full supervision” of the agreement will lead to “full supervision” of the agreement.

“BYTEDANCE has repeatedly showed that he is a bad actor, and the Communist Party of Chinese [CCP] “The ultimate goal is to see America divided and weaken. For this reason, on a huge basis of both parties, he asked Congress to violate the control of Tijook,” he said in a statement.

Legislators acknowledged the law in 2024, which requires the parent company that is based in Tiktok to get rid of the application or face a ban on American networks and application stores. This measure sailed through Congress amid increasing concern about the two parties about Beijing’s potential ability to access American user data and process their summaries.

But the law, which was scheduled to enter into force in January, remained suspended for a period of nine months, as Trump was repeatedly late in the hope of reaching a deal to keep Tiktok available in the United States

Administration officials revealed last week that they had reached a “framework” of a deal that follows talks with China that would see Tiktok proceeding to a new American entity, the majority owned by American investors.

Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, which sets his agreement to the deal, declaring that the terms of the agreement meet the requirements of disposal of the law under the law.

Molinaar said on Friday: “The transition to an entity owned by the majority of America will represent an important step in that process that can reduce some fake threats depending on the details, but getting rid of investments was not the only requirement of the law.”

He added: “The law also set the fixed handrails that prohibit cooperation between by atteedance and any potential successor to the important recommendation algorithm, as well as preventing operational relations between the new entity and the country.”

Under the agreement, Bytedance will maintain a share of less than 20 percent in Tiktok. Oracle, which also takes a stake in the new American entity, will be a safety provider and re -train a copy of the algorithm.

Vice President Vice Vicen seemed keen to dispel concerns about the recommendation system on Thursday, noting that the new American company “will control how the algorithm is pushing the content.”

MIOLENAAR expressed his concerns about the deal last week amid reports that the BYTEDANCE would license the algorithm for the new Tiktok. At that time, he warned that such an agreement “could allow CCP to continue to control or influence.”
