The Autism community sounds alarm on ‘harmful’ RFK Junior Comments

Members of the autism community promise to find the cause of autism in September against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling the plan harmful.

Kennedy announced last week that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will launch a “huge test and research effort” to find the cause of autism spectrum disorder in the next five months. Then he followed at a press conference earlier this week to follow that the agency will have some “answers”.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Kennedy emphasized that HHS would investigate an “environmental poison” that he believed that autism spectrum was creating a growing rate of disorder, the disease control and prevention centers (CDC) believed to contribute to the expansion of the situation.

Christine Roth, the chief marketing officer of the United States of America, describes Kennedy’s focus on environmental toxins as “incredibly confusing” and his promise to find a specific cause of the autism spectrum disorder is harmful to the autism community.

Roth the Hill told The Hill, “Although further research is needed, there has been no discussion about the services to better support, to include and to reflect diversity across the spectrum.”

The CDC has released a report earlier this week that 1 out of 31 in the United States 1 in 2022 the autism spectrum disorder was detected in 2022, which continued to trend growing from the previous years. The report noted that the growing rate was probably associated with the advanced diagnostic system that has been more widely available.

However, Kennedy suspected that the diagnostics were developed, the reporters told reporters that it had to be environmental and there was no genetic link to the condition.

“I think we have to move away from today is that the ideal is that the prevalence of autism increases, relentless increases, simply a better diagnosis, better recognition or patterns to change diagnostic criteria,” he said.

“It is a preventable disease wee

Research suggests that autism is derived from a combination of genetic causes and environmental effects in autism spectrum disorder. Autism researcher and Clenecian Dorin Samelson said that more than 100 genes have been identified as autism is involved in spectrum disorder.

“I think the word epidemic refers to a single identified reason, but I don’t think autism works that way,” he said. “It’s a complex, long -term state and since we moved to a kind of spectrum we are really seeing a broad population with a lot of diversity in that population.”

Roth also added that the cuts in the Education Department of the Trump administration and the HHS section and the proposed cuts in Medicaid have “direct opposition” of Kennedy’s claim that he would like to support the autism community and to know more about these conditions.

In the broadest efforts to reduce the size and opportunity of the federal government, it has opened extensively in the HHS and Education Department and indicates that it has intended to spend more deeper into both agencies. A preliminary draft of the White House budget request has been asked to reduce the HHS budget by third, while Trump has signed an executive order that is completely tried to break the education department completely.

Recently, the Pass House Budget Resolution, already, has proposed to cut $ 800 billion from Medicaid to the next 10 years as a way to pay for tax cuts.

Instead of proposing government expenditure or study for “environmental toxins” for contributing to autism, he said that more and more investments should be made in strict, peer-parallel science to find out more about the condition.

Kennedy’s language is also “harmful” while talking about HHS plans for the cause of autism spectrum disorder, Roth, especially in his comments, will never be a productive member of the society.

Kennedy falsely claimed during a press conference this week that most of the autism spectrum disorder is now serious and this situation “destroys families”.

“These kids who will never pay taxes, they will never play the baseball, they will never write poetry, they will never go to date,” he told reporters, “he told reporters. “Many of them will never use a toilet. And and we need to recognize that we’re doing it with our kids.”

Roth called these comments “wrong” and said that Kennedy had incorrectly accused a whole community.

“So many people know and love someone [with autism] Who can do all this. “

Since autism falls along a spectrum, there are many people who gain complete freedom, others may need continuous care. But even these people added, chariots, can lead “meaningful, quality life”.

“To be inherent and defined by human experiences and misinterpreted that autism destroys the family is so harmful and destructive.”
