Swissport gets ASC, strengthens its location in London


Swissport signed binding transactions agreements to obtain ASC, which provides land handling and goods services at London Heathrow and GATWICK airports. Heathrow is the fifth largest airport all over the world depending on the size of passengers, and more than 60 percent of British air freight through London airports.

Gatwick is the second most air airport in the UK holding 43 million passengers for more than 200 destinations annually. This strategic acquisition distinguishes Swissport for the continuous growth in both the processing of land and goods at Hub airports in London. Specifically, the transaction provides an additional capacity for Swissport ground processes that will enhance its position as a flexible and innovative partner for airlines and airports and allows them to reach an additional charging capacity in two warehouse in London Heathrow.
