SMINETS wins the opening of the opening of the opening
Vitaly Smilianets, founder and CEO of Awey Aviation Software (AWEY) was awarded the inspiring commander of the Ocean Summit at the Executive Summit of the International Air Association (TIACA), which was held in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 June 2025.
The award was presented during the official ceremony of the event on Wednesday, June 25, along with the Tiaca’s Rising Star Award.
By recognizing individuals who showed clear leadership and youth enabling them in the air freight industry, the Inspirational Leader award was chosen by a committee of seven industry specialists under 35 years of age.
The jury praised the Smilianets for its leadership in AWEY and its Cargoboking platform, as well as its continuous call for more digital adoption and transparency of data in air cargo.
“I am very honored to obtain this award, it not only reflects my personal journey, but the dedicated work of my team in both Awery and CargoBokee to lead a positive change of this industry,” said Smilianets.
“We have always believed in the power of technology in pushing this industry forward, and I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved and my team together until now.”
The Smilianets jury also admitted his commitment to encouraging young talents, while highlighting the teams that he built through its operations, specifically within Cargoing, chaired by Anna Paln, winner of the young professional air conditions award per year at the Air Cargo News 2024 Awards.
He added: “As a technical company, we have always benefited from young minds, and many of our best ideas come from those who are still relatively new in this industry.”
“Creating opportunities for those who start flying is vital in maintaining a flexible, relevant and sustainable air cargo industry.”
Smilianets will also speak at the Tiaca Executive summit, participating in the Innovation Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Committee on Thursday, June 26 from 15: 50-16: 20.
