Russian Russian diesel exports for July 1-15 fell 6% month to month, data shows


Diesel and Gasoil exports in the Russian Sea fell 6% to around 1.43 million metric tons in the first 15 days of July from the same period in June with the maintenance of refineries and demand affected by strong domestic demand, according to LSEG shipping data and market sources.

Russian offline primary oil purification capacity has been revised by 20% in July to 3.9 million metric tons, including maintenance on several large and medium refineries, according to Reuters’ calculations based on data from industrial sources.

The increase in idle capacity means that the refinery uses fewer raw materials to produce fuel.

Diesel loading through the Russian Baltic Port Primorsk, the largest outlet in the country for ULSD exports, reaching 470,000 tons in the first 15 days of July, down 28% from the same period in June.

So far in July, Türkiye remains the main destination for diesel and Gasoil exports from the Russian port, taking around 44% of the total inventory, or nearly 640,000 metric tons. It rose 52% from June 1-15 thanks to a strong request, LSEG shipping data showed.

Diesel loading from Russia to Brazil only amounts to 110,000 metric tons in the first 15 days of July, down 56% of months to month.

Around 180,000 tons of diesel and Gasoil from Russian ports are waiting for the release or order for more purposes about the transfer of ships-Kapal near the Limassol Cyprus Port, LSEG data shows.

Russian diesel and Gasoil exports can increase in the second half of the month because some refineries complete maintenance, said market sources.
