Proud trip to Malaysia
MASkargo marked one of its most significant achievements in the field of private shipping on 18 November with the successful transportation of Malaysia’s new giant pandas, Chen Xing and Xiao Yu, from Sichuan, China, to Kuala Lumpur.
This operation has confirmed MASkargo’s recognized expertise in handling sensitive, high-value and high-quality shipments, strengthening its position as a trusted carrier for specialist tasks.
The pandas arrived safely at MASkargo’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), where they were greeted with a ceremonial water salute, a gesture that signals Malaysia’s warm welcome and MASkargo’s pride in being selected for this high-profile mission under the renewed 10-year Malaysia-China Panda Conservation Agreement.
The arrival ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, senior representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, MASkargo, Zoo Negara, conservation bodies, and government agencies, reflecting the strength of bilateral relations and continued commitment to environmental conservation efforts between the two countries.
As the designated carrier, MASkargo strictly adheres to international standards for the transport of live animals, ensuring ideal aircraft conditions, expert crate handling, on-board welfare monitoring, and coordinated ground support to protect the pandas throughout their journey.
Upon arrival, Qin Xing and Xiao Yu were taken for veterinary examinations and were placed in a mandatory one-month quarantine in the giant.
