The International Air Shipping Association (Tiaca) has presented prizes for winners of the seventh edition of the Air Step Awards, in partnership with Champ Cargosystems. These prizes celebrate innovative curricula and influential initiatives that make the air cargo industry more sustainable and socially responsible.
Two categories were judged: startup/small companies and companies. A committee of seven respected industry leaders and sustainability experts evaluated entries based on their innovation, influence, grandfather and long -term value.

Corporate Award winner: Ostend Airport
Tiaaca has presented the 2025 corporate sustainability award to Nathan De Valk, Ostend Fruges Airport for the Biodiversity Program-a project that shows how flying and environmental supervision can flourish side by side.
This initiative enhances the vast community participation through partnership with local governments, farmers and bee granules, which provides direct benefits to stakeholders while increasing environmental awareness throughout the region. The program is not only restored and promotes the preservation of wildlife, but also provides residents and visitors an opportunity to directly monitor these efforts – which leads to strengthening public pride in biological diversity and the display of sustainable coexistence between nature and airport operations.
Winner of the startup award/small companies: Fraunhofer Institute for the flow of materials and logistics services (IML)
The Fraunhofer Institute for the flow of materials and logistics (IML) was awarded the first place in the small business category/emerging for its innovative article for the flow of materials and logistics (IML), which guarantees a description.
