Ohio State University: Evy League heads in staying mode, completely frankly.
The President of Ohio State University (OSU) Ted Carter said on Sunday that he believed that Ivy League schools are in “staying mode”, when he was asked about the settlement of Columbia University with the Trump administration.
In an interview with CBS News “Face The Nation”, Supervisor Margaret Brennan Carter asked whether he was concerned about a “precedent” to settle the settlement groups and whether he would agree to a similar agreement to resolve a virtual conflict with the administration.
Carter replied: “I cannot talk to these institutions because I do not lead them.”
He said, in reference to the President of Colombia University, Claire Sheepman:
Carter added: “We are not going through any of that here in Ohio, and I do not think we will do,” Carter added.
Colombia agreed to pay $ 221 million to recover more than $ 400 million of federal funding banned by the administration, according to the settlement announced on July 21.
By cutting Colombia’s financing, the Trump administration has already referred to his alleged inaction to anti -Semitism, although the Minister of Education Linda McMahon indicated more ideological motives in an interview after the announcement of the settlement.
“This is a tremendous victory for the conservatives who wanted to do things in these elite universities for a long time because we had professors preparing for the left.”
The university, which witnessed some of the most active demonstrations on the campus in the country, in the midst of the war in Gaza, had to recognize the error as part of the deal.
Colombia faced some reaction from critics who expressed concern about the freedom of higher education institutions.
