NbCuniversal, Apple Bundle streaming services
In an effort to roll out their own streaming services, Apple and NBCUniversal have agreed to offer Peacock and Apple TV together, another high-profile alliance between the rivals.
The two companies announced the partnership on Thursday in an effort to reach more customers and keep them subscribing month after month. Peacock Paired will be available for $14.99 per month, while Apple and Peacock Premium Plus will be offered for $19.99 per month.
The move accelerates the consolidation process as the companies look to better compete against Netflix and Amazon Prime, both of which offer hundreds of shows. The Walt Disney Company is already merging its three services with Warner Bros.
Packaged programs are available on Mondays.
“We’re excited to deliver this comprehensive package of amazing programming and bring beloved Apple TV programming to more audiences in more places,” said Oliver Chaucer, Apple’s vice president of Apple TV, Apple Music, Sports, Sports, Sports, Sports, in a statement. “From the founding founder so you can – live sports entertainment, Apple TV and Peacock ture combine the best of entertainment with a simple, seamless experience.”
Apple offers award-winning shows including “Ted Lasso,” “The Layoff,” “The Shrink,” “The Olympics,” “Real House Faces,” and “Income Money” “like.”
NBCUniversal is also in talks to acquire a major package of baseball games starting next year, and Apple has also streamed Friday baseball games.
The announcement comes three months after nbcuniversal, which is owned by Comcast, peacocked its $3 monthly fee.
“There’s no more perfect combination of entertainment than Apple TV and Peacock Bundle, with our content bundles spanning shows, movies, sports and live events,” said Matt Strauss Group.
