Menzies Aviation is deploying Nalian Truck Visit Management globally

  • Menzies Aviation partners with Nallian to deploy Truck Visit Management (TVM) system, digitizing and standardizing ground freight operations across major terminals
  • The initial launch covers Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Prague and San Francisco, handling more than 500,000 tonnes of cargo annually.
  • TVM enables digital slot booking, check-in and yard coordination to reduce truck delivery times, enhance safety and improve predictability
  • Fully integrated with Menzies’ MACH cloud shipping platform, the system enhances data-driven coordination between warehouses and yards
  • This initiative supports Menzies’ global strategy to enhance efficiency, safety and customer experience across its freight network

Menzies Aviation has chosen Nallian’s Truck Visit Management (TVM) solution to digitize and standardize its ground freight operations.

In a phased implementation phase, Menzies will deploy the TVM at five initial freight terminals including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Prague and San Francisco, collectively handling more than 500,000 tonnes of freight annually. By digitizing slot booking and yard management, Menzies expects to reduce truck delivery times, enhance yard safety and unlock measurable labor savings and efficiencies.

From pre-reserving recommended slots and digital check-in to yard coordination and dock assignment, TVM will help reduce queues and variability while improving predictability for freight forwarders, trucking companies, and drivers. The system will integrate with the Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling (MACH) cloud freight management platform developed in collaboration with Wipro, enabling real-time coordination between warehouses and the yard.

This solution forms part of Menzies’ broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency, safety and customer experience across its global shipping network. The partnership was announced at an official signing ceremony this week during the ASA Global Leadership Forum in Copenhagen. Hassan Al-Houri, Executive Chairman, and Beau Payne, Executive Vice President Shipping, from Menzies, were joined by Jan Verheyen, CEO, Lionel van der Walt, Commercial Director and Sarah van Gelder, Product Director at Nalian, to celebrate the launch of the partnership.

“As we scale our freight business globally, consistent, data-driven operations both airside and groundside are essential,” said Beau Payne, Executive Vice President, Air Cargo, Menzies Aviation. “Deploying Nallian’s TVM at priority stations will help us reduce truck dwell time, smooth peak traffic and deliver a faster, more predictable experience.” For our customers. The native integration with MACH makes this a practical step in our digital journey and a foundation for a wider rollout.”

Jan Verheyen, CEO of Nallian, said: “We are proud to support Menzies Aviation with a proven approach to coordinating onshore flows. Starting with a focused, multi-region deployment ensures rapid value and creates a repeatable model that can be scaled across the network. Close integration with MACH will provide consolidated data and control from yard to depot.”
