Medvedev Russia rejects Trump’s ‘Ultimatum Theater’ about Sanctions

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday that Moscow “no matter” about what he described as “Ultimatum Theater” issued by US President Donald Trump to Kremlin the day before.

Trump on Monday announced a new weapon for Ukraine and threatened sanctions for Russian export buyers unless Russia approved a peaceful agreement in Ukraine. The threat of sanctions comes with a grace period of 50 days.

“Trump issued a theater ultimatum to Kremlin. The world shuddered, hoping for the consequences,” Medvedev wrote on X.

“Europe who fought was disappointed. Russia did not care,” he added.
