Log Baltic Baltic Index Second weekly profit at higher rates on all ships
The Baltic Exchange Baltic Sea Transport Index rose on Friday and posted a second weekly profit in a row, assisted by higher requests in all ship segments.
The main index, which monitors tariffs for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, added 20 points, or 1.5%, to 1,373. The index rose by almost 9% for a week.
The CAPESIZE index gained 43 points, or 2.3%, to 1,889. The index rose more than 12% for a week.
The average daily income for capsizing ships, which usually transport 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, increased $ 360 to $ 15,667.
The Panamax index rose 20 points, or 1.5%, to 1,392. The index extends profits to the second week in a row and up more than 9% for this week.
The average daily income for Panamax ships, which usually carry 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, increased $ 183 to $ 12,528.
Among the smaller ships, the Supramax index dropped one point to 977. The index, however, was led for the second weekly profit, adding 2.8% for a week.
