Latam is transferred 25,000 tons of flowers before Mother’s Day season
The companies affiliated with the Latam Group group successfully concluded the peak season for flower shipments for Mother’s Day, which led to confirming their commitment to the flower cultivation industry in the region and linking these products with the major international markets.
During this season, which lasted 21 days, the group moved more than 25,000 tons of flowers from Colombia and Ecuador, which once again showed its leadership in transferring this damaged product. This folder represents 4 % growth compared to the same holiday last year.
Among the total transport, about 12,000 tons arose in Ecuador, while more than 13,000 tons were transported from Colombia. These results have become possible thanks to the strong capacity of the shipping fleet in the Latam Group and the operational flexibility to respond to the high seasonal demand.
“I have achieved the strong results of the Mother’s Day season a clear testimony to the confidence that our customers put in Latam,” said Claudio Torres Venie, the South American Vice President at Latam Cargo Group.
“Our commitment to the manufacture of floral transplantation and each of our customers exceeds highly demanding seasons; we are present throughout the year, ensuring the ability they need and its excellent service for their operations. We thank them for their confidence and we will continue to lead the development of this main sector of Colombia and Ecuador.”
In response to the high seasonal demand and the specific needs of its customers, Latam has increased significantly from the width of goods, and raised frequencies from Colombia and Ecuador by 48 % for this celebration. The Mother’s Day operation resulted in a logistical publication of more than 430 exits in just three weeks, of which 231 trips from Bogotá and Medellin, more than 200 QUITO arises, and link flowers to major markets such as the United States and Europe.
