Alaska Air Group has announced many leadership transformations that reflect the organization’s commitment to operational excellence and its first culture.
Nearly 15 years of service allocated to Alaska Airlines, the chief operational officer, Constance von Muglin, will retire. Von Mouhelin joined Alaska in 2011 and became the director of operations in 2021, when he led the airline during a period of growth and great transformation. Its leadership was effective in progressing, reliability and innovation through flight operations.
Von Muhlin, CEO of Operations, will be Jason Perry, an old manufacturer in industry for 30 years who is currently the president of Horizon Air and Executive Cargo for Alaska Air Group.
Berry brings deep operational experience and a busy record of the leading teams with heart and accuracy. His experience extends goods, ground services and regional operations, including driving roles in Air Canada, Cargolux and McGe Air Services.
Perry will be a valid role on November 3, 2025, with Von Moheen remaining until February 2026 in a consulting ability to support smooth transition.
With Perry the role of the CEO of Alaska Airlines, Andy Schneider, CEO and President of Horizon Air, will be appointed. Schneider is currently the first vice president of people on Alaska Air Airlines and played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategy and talent strategy.
For more than 35 years with Air Group, Schneider has played various roles of operations, including the Vice President of the Center’s Services in Alaska, Vice President of Individuals and Customer Services at Horizon.
Horizon Air will go to the next chapter, and continues her legacy in the exceptional regional service.
Over the past year, Alaska Airlines teams and airlines in Hawaii have worked together to build and implement the plan to become a major operating carrier under one operating certificate (SOC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which later expected this fall.
