“It takes one to know one.” Pritzker responds to Trump’s comments.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) said on Monday that President Trump’s personal attacks “just evidence of a man who still lives in the fifth grade” after Trump recently commented on Pritzker’s weight.
“It takes one to know one question,” said Pritzker on Monday. “And, of course, the president himself is not in good condition. Therefore, he must respond to me.”
He added: “I would also say that his personal attacks on Ali are just evidence of a man who still lives in the fifth grade.” “It is a kind of fatwa that you throw on people, because he knows that what he says is actually a comment on himself.”
Trump said on Monday in the Oval Office that Illinois Governor “should spend more time in the gym, in fact.”
The president has a history of moving in his weight. During a campaign in Ohio in 2024, Pritzker was accused of “very busy eating” to lead his mandate.
“He wants to eat all the time.”
On Saturday, Pritzker accused Trump of “misuse of his authority” after a planned plan to send the National Guard forces to Chicago, a step that follows a similar measure in Los Angeles and Washington, DC,
“Illinois did not receive any requests or communication from the federal government asking whether we needed help, and we have not submitted any requests for federal intervention,” Pritzker said on a topic on the social platform late Saturday.
The hill arrived at the White House for comment.
