Han Airport reports on the growth of goods in the first quarter


Han Airport managed to increase both passengers and goods in the first three months of 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, Triwo Hahn Airport returned more than 440,000 passengers. This is more than 30 percent more than the same period last year. An increase in goods work was also recorded: the airport dealt with about 22,000 tons of air freight in the first quarter of 2025. This is more than eight percent over the same period last year.

“It started in 2025 a good start,” says Rüdiger Franke, Managing Director at Tiwo Hahn Airport. Regarding passenger business, he adds: “Airlines have expanded their services at Han Airport. This also applies to the summer flight schedule, which has been in effect since March 30. We expect to withdraw 2.2 million passengers by the end of the year.”

Commenting on the increase in goods characters, Rüdiger Franke says: “This was a good start for 2025. With the operating permit 24 hours, Han Airport is still attractive. However, it remains to see how the current geopolitical uncertainty will affect the shipping work.”

Han Airport is actively preparing for more increases in the number of passengers. “We are investing in redesigning and updating our station, and we decentrate the security examination, for example. This will improve passenger operations,” Managing Director Frank confirms.

Han Airport also extends with digitization, including self -disposal stations. This will also increase the reduction in sharing and waiting for passengers.
