GKN Aerospace and ArianeGroup Partnership with the new ARIANE 6 contract
GKN Aerospace and Ariagroup have signed a new nodes for the operational stage of Arian 6, where they got Europe’s arrival in space for years to come and based on a five -year partnership. This is the first agreement between Arianegroup and the main industrial partner as the new Europe launcher enters industrial escalation.
The new agreement confirms the continuous delivery of GKN Aerospace to the ARIANE 6 program throughout the operational life of the supervisor, after its first successful journey in July 2024 and the first commercial mission in March 2025.
Arianegroup, a French -German company in space technology, provides many important components of the important Ariane 6 launch car provided by GKN Aerospace, including:
LH₂ and LOX turbines for Vulcain 2.1 engine from the first stage
There is no extension of the Vulcain 2.1 engine
LH₂ and LOX turbines for Vinci engine in the second stage
These components were developed in cooperation with the Arianegroup program within the framework of the European Space Agency program (ESA) and is produced at the Excellence Center at the GKN Aerospace in Tologlhättan, Sweden.
ARIANE 6 is the next generation launch car in Europe, ensuring independent access to the area and providing an effective and flexible solution to a wide range of institutional and commercial tasks. It was launched from the Joyana Space Center in Coro, French Joyana.
