Gatwic runway 2.2 billion pounds, gets green light, bifa chants
The British International Shipping Association welcomes the news that the London Gatwik Airport runway, which is 2.2 billion pounds, has received the approval of the government.
This is another important step in the planning process, but BIFA notes that the project can be delayed if the GATWICK chart is subject to a judicial review.
“The airport has become a growing center for air cargo, and the sizes of sizes are expected to climb sharply as soon as the second runway is run,” said Steve Parker, General Manager of BIFA.
“We hope that the additional runway capacity will enhance the airport position as a critical gateway to the time sensitive commodities that move across the plane.”
