The growth of the euro zone bank loan was accelerated to the highest two years last month behind the lower interest rates and gradual economic recovery, European central bank data showed on Thursday.
Loans to households grew by 2.4% in July, the biggest increase since April 2023, from 2.2 in June. Credit to the company increased 2.8% from 2.7%, marking the fastest speed since June 2023.
