Envirotainer supports sustainable flight fuel
Envirotainer contract, specialized in temperature -sensitive drug shipments, partnership with Air France Klm Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) to support the development and accreditation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
SAF, a cleaner alternative to traditional flying fuel, plays a decisive role in reducing carbon emissions for air transport. By investing in the SAF through the AFKLMP CARGO FOR program, Envirotainer aims to help pharmaceutical companies achieve sustainability goals while maintaining the safety of sensitive charges for temperature.
“In Envirotainer, we realize that the sustainability revolves around more than our direct operations,” said EB Butt, head of the global airlines for the main accounts. “Our partnership with Air France Klm Martinair Cargo our dedication to processing emissions through the entire supply chain. Through investments in SAF, we lead to reducing our environmental impact while enabling drug companies to do the same.”
The program aims to stimulate the development of advanced SAF and reduce carbon fingerprint in flying. SAF is produced from renewable raw materials, such as waste oils and waste, and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the life cycle by up to 85 percent compared to traditional jet fuel.
Envirotainer’s efforts in sustainability extend beyond this partnership. The goals of the company based on science are designed to direct its efforts to reduce emissions through the value chain. Cooperative initiatives such as the SAF agreement show that the basic role partnerships play in achieving long -term environmental goals.
“We believe that the processing of sustainability complications requires a collective action,” added EB Butt. “Working with industrial leaders such as Air France-KLM allows us to support sustainable solutions that benefit both cold and pharmaceutical industries.”
This partnership depends on the previous Envirotainer’s achievements, such as 95 % renewable electricity adoption through its operations and maintaining industry standards for the cold chain logs.
