Envirotainer reveals a 12 % decrease of 3 % in only one year
Envirotainer, specialized in temperature -sensitive drug shipments, released the sustainability report today for 2024. Despite the increasing uncertainty of the supply chain, Envirotainer’s commitment to cooperation goals and strong sustainability goals remained, with new partnerships on the United front on green aspirations.
Envirotainer has taken important steps, including 12 percent reducing the range. This represents an important milestone on the sustainability journey. It also maintained 100 percent renewable electricity at the production site for more than a decade, with more than 92 percent for the full company.
With the growing global company, Envirotainer now offers 40 new destinations, and succeeds in charging more than two million doses of medicines and vaccines daily. Its reliability is still unparalleled, as 99.9 percent of shipments were delivered on time.
In 2024, 75 % of shipments were made through lease contracts in one direction, 71 percent of them were returned through a request, avoiding empty container movements and supporting circular logistical practices.
“The progress that we continue to achieve is driven by our ambition and accountability,” said David Simonson, CEO of Envirotainer. “In 2024, we set the most ambitious science goals in the industry (SBTS) that were approved by the SBTI goal initiative. We take decisive climatic measures backed by science, and created a clear road map to achieve clear greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.”
Cooperation is still at the heart of Envirotainer’s approach to sustainability. By working closely with its partners and suppliers, the company has made great obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Its partnerships with Air France Klm Martinair Cargo and United Airlines companies (SAF) to transport the high temperature pharmaceutical shipments, not only support pharmaceutical companies in achieving their sustainability goals but also ensuring the connection of safe and reliable drugs.
