This main step occurred during an official ceremony held at the Gavião Peixoto production facility in the presence of a delegation of Austrian government representatives.
“We are happy to start producing the first aircraft of Austria, and we look forward to connecting the first Austrian Air Force. C-390 sets new standards as medium air aircraft and a truly multi-category plane.
With a maximum load of 26 tons, a top speed of 470 knots, and modern systems, C-390 is the best plane in its class. Its powerful engines, and the large goods equipped with a back slope and strong landing equipment managed to carry out the most demanding tasks, including non -paved corridors. Among the real strategic assets of its final users, C-390 Millennium can perform a wide range of military and civil tasks such as transporting goods, employees, vehicles, peacekeeping, special operations, humanitarian support, medical evacuation, search, rescue, firefighting, air to air and disorder management.
A plane that is formed with air fuel equipment, with the appointment of KC-390, can operate both as a transport and a reception, in this case also by receiving fuel from another KC-390 using the pods installed under the wings.
Since entering the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, Portuguese Air Force in 2023, and recently the Hungarian Air Force in 2024, C-390 proved its ability, reliability and performance. The current fleet of aircraft has accumulated more than 16,300 flying hours, with a 93 % mission capacity and task completion rates higher than 99 %, indicating exceptional productivity in this category.
In addition to Brazil, Portugal and Hungary, the Netherlands announced its choice for the millennium in 2022. In 2023, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea also chose C-390, confirming the success of this game change platform. In 2024, Sweden, Slovakia and a customer also chose C-390.
