Cruz supports Chip Roy for Texas AG

The Senator Ted Cruise (R-TEXAS) supported MP ROY (R) in his attempt to the Texas General Attorney, and threw his support behind the former chief of staff on Saturday.

“I am proud to support Chip Roy in front of the Texas Public Prosecutor. As my head, Chip was an intimate friend and ally for more than 12 years. We were in battles more than I could rely on, and I know that Chip will always fight, always fighting for conservative values,” Cruz said in a statement.

Roy has officially launched his attempt to be the next public prosecutor on Thursday, looking to replace the outgoing prosecutor Ken Buckston (PBUH), who has held this position since 2014. Paxon challenges the current Senator John Cornas in what is already of the competing preliminary elections. For the first time, the Hill reported Roy looking to an offer for the best law enforcement position in Lone Star State in early August.

“The next public prosecutor from Texas must have a record of fighting to preserve our legacy, protect and defend it,” Roy said in a video of his campaign.

Regardless of Roy, other Republican candidates who joined the open public competition are Send Sens. Joan Huffman and Mays Middleton, along with Aaron Ritz, who was also the Chief of Staff Cruz, and working for the Republican Senator from May 2023 until March this year.

Cruz Roy, who has served in the House of Representatives since 2019, praised a member of the conservative freedom gathering, saying that he “has shown continuous courage, integrity and condemnation required to defend our great condition.”

Cruz said on Saturday: “He is a warrior who was tested in the battle and fierce defender of the constitution. “No one is better equipped to lead the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Texas, and I know that he will fight with enthusiasm and protection of the state of Lun Star.”

Roy was unlike Buckston before, and invited him to resign in 2020 due to bribery allegations. President Trump has not yet supported the race.
