  • The developer of Poland’s new Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) Airport has awarded a tender for the construction of a multi-level car park designed to serve passengers, visitors and employees. The facility will provide 5,300 parking spaces, and includes areas for short stays, VIPs, electric vehicle charging, people with disabilities, and car rentals.
  • The winning bid was submitted by AKE Studio and ATP Kraków, with a contract worth more than PLN 10 million, of which PLN 5.5 million covers basic design services including multiple planning variants and complete construction documentation.

The developer of the new airport, CPK, in central Poland, announced the results of a tender to construct a multi-level parking lot serving passengers, visitors and airport employees. The facility will provide more than five thousand parking spaces.

The project includes the creation of a modern parking infrastructure that is efficient, safe and easy to use for both drivers and passengers. The scope of work includes, among other elements, detailed facility management planning and integration of automated system technologies. The design aims to meet the needs of all parking users at the new airport.
The multi-storey car park, which will complement the airport’s ground-level car parking system, will provide 5,300 spaces for short- and long-term use. Key features will include:

short term parking area,
Dedicated spaces for contract clients,
VIP area at level +1,
charging points for electric cars,
Spaces for people with disabilities,
passenger pickup area,
car rental area,
Traffic and access management systems

Seven bidders participated in the tender. The chosen contractor is the design studio AKE Studio and ATP Kraków. CPK signed a contract with a total value of more than PLN 10 million, of which approximately PLN 5.5 million is allocated to the core scope of work. This involves preparing plans for many different design forms and producing conceptual, structural and technical designs.

The multi-level car park will be integrated with the airport infrastructure, enhancing the overall efficiency and quality of passenger service, while ensuring a high level of operational safety.

This is another project delivered as part of the investment program supporting airport operations. Design work is also underway for airport services maintenance bases, meteorological services buildings, the environmental risk monitoring unit, the data processing center, and the airport police station.

CPK is a strategic investment focused on building the transport, logistics and mobility backbone of Central Europe. By effectively integrating air, rail and road networks, it will radically transform the region’s infrastructure – removing barriers, supporting development, and better serving the community. The project is not only vital for Poland’s connectivity and economic growth, but will also serve as a key driver of integration across Central and Eastern Europe.

Construction of the CPK passenger terminal is scheduled to begin in 2026 with deep foundations being laid. The underground railway station and tunnel are expected to be completed by 2029. The airport is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2032, along with the first section of the high-speed railway line connecting Warsaw and Łódź.
