Chartered Tanker by Chevron to move Venezuela’s crude oil looking for another business


Several Chevron tankers have been rented to move crude oil from Venezuela to the United States this month is now being marketed for spot contracts in other places, Sumber said, after the PDVSA state company canceled the loading permit and ordered the company to restore the cargo in the midst of uncertain payments related to sanctions.

Ship marketing shows that Chevron does not expect to load all cargo that is usually sent from Venezuela in a month even if ultimately finding a way to resolve disagreements with PDVSA.

The Sea Dragon Tanker, which has released heavy Boscan Venezuela’s crude oil in Philadelphia, is being marketed by Agelef Maritime Services, two sources who are familiar with the problem said.

The Sea Jaguar loading window at Jose Venezuela Terminal, which was originally scheduled for mid -April, was canceled by PDVSA, according to the documents seen by Reuters. The ship on Wednesday floated around Aruba, according to tracking data.

PDVSA and Chevron did not reply to requests for comments.

Other tankers rented by Trading House Vitol loaded and released normally at the Port of Venezuela, according to data and documents, while ships were rented by Reliance Industries for India and Maulel & Prom shipments to Europe departed according to schedule, before the May 27 deadline to reduce cargo and operation.
