The Global Air Chapman Freeborn specialist has succeeded in connecting the huge industrial equipment from Belgium to China. The equipment, and welded pipes for industrial thermal exchanges were 20 meters long and weighing 700 kg. Uploaded to Boeing 747-400F at LGG Airport (LGG), Belgium and transferred shipping to Zhengzhou (CGO), China.
The customer chose air cargo instead of charging the oceans to transport these sensitive and enlarged equipment due to the narrow time frame of delivery. Yoann MAGRAN, France Sales Manager at Chapman Freeborn Airchartering BV, Comments:
“When a customer entrusted us with large charging, we understand that there is no room for error and that all the details are concerned. This is where the experience of Chapman Ferrene.
Chapman Ferrene has overcome multiple technical challenges in order to successfully implement this delivery on time and in a costly effective manner. The welded tubes were shipped in a 20 -meter cage, which excluded the side loading as an option. Instead, the shipment was loaded on B747-400F, with this plane chosen as an optimal nose door option for cost-effective delivery.
Dealing with this huge charge during loading and discharged was out of clarity. Chapman Friedborn team had to make sure that there was no harm to the microscopic welded tubes during the loading process. The operations started in July with the discharge of the truck and the construction, before the loading of the aircraft for an hour after two days.
A complex set of cranes and cranes has been used, which requires careful coordination. To empty the truck and accumulation, cranes were employed. Then 3 high lines were used, run by 6 ground employees, to load air. During this process, Chapman Ferrene worked closely with the challenge group, which was brought to provide experienced land treatment services at LGG Airport.
Flexibility and ability to adapt is always required when dealing with complex huge charging. In the case of this delivery, additional complications were the change at the last minute of the final destination of Shanghai (PVG) to Zhengzhou (CGO). Despite this transformation, Chapman Ferrene was able to provide the customer with all the necessary services, help in exporting customs and maintaining direct aviation representation. This guarantees smooth processes and updates in the actual time of the customer.
“This project has highlighted the experience of Chapman Ferrene in treating huge air charges, its ability to coordinate multi -faceted operations smoothly, and its ability to adapt them to the face of changes at the last minute,” Yuan Mogran concludes.
