Blue sky thinking

With the industry struggling with the increasing environmental responsibilities, the International Air Force Society has placed sustainability at the heart of its agenda in the Air Shipping Forum, where updates revealed updates to the association’s sustainability portfolio, including sustainability survey, which collects cash data from all over the industry.

“The survey allows us to measure the progress made in the main sustainability measures and understand what is change the change in various organizations,” explained by Stephen Pullman, the president of Tiaca. “

Besides understanding the needs of industry, Tiaca shines the spotlight on its growing blue program, an independent assessment designed to help institutions strengthen sustainability efforts.

The program, designed for each participant, holds not only environmental practices but also social aspects and governance.

“It is not a matter of passing or failing. It is about helping companies understand their place in the sustainability journey and how they can improve,” Hughes explained.

With the highlight of the cooperation, Polmans participated an example of the Blue Sky Community initiative, which first appeared at Brussels Airport: “By collecting multiple organizations together, we can define common challenges and create collective solutions.”
