Baltic index rises at a higher level of castesize vessels

The Transportation Index of the Utik Baltic Exchange, which measures tariffs for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, rises on Tuesday with higher rates for the capsize ship segment.

The main index, which tracks the tariff for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, rose 19 points, or 0.9%, to 2,035 points.

The Castesize Index rose 80 points, or 2.7%, to 3,061.

The average daily income for capsizing ships, which usually carry 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, increased $ 670 to $ 25,390.

The price of iron ore futures is closed higher for the fifth consecutive session on Tuesday, supported by further stimulus hopes after Beijing launched a $ 170 billion hydropower project to increase economic growth.

The Panamax index fell 6 points, or 0.3%, to 1,909.

The average daily income for Panamax ships, which usually carry 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, lost $ 50 to $ 17,182.

Among the smaller ships, the Supramax index lost 17 points, or 1.3%, to 1,329.
