Baltic index rises as a level company in all ship segments
The Utik Baltic Exchange Sea Transportation Index, which measures tariffs for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, rises on Wednesday, supported by faster tariffs in all ship segments.
* BBDI’s main index, which tracks the tariff for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, added 73 points, or 3.8%, to 1,994 points. On Tuesday, the contract reached the lowest level since July 16.
* CAPESIZE Index (.BACI) rose 181 points, or 6%, in 3,187.
* The average daily income for cottonation vessels (.batca), which usually transports 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, rose $ 1,505 to $ 26,434.
* Iron ore futures fall, because of fears of demand that languishing in the coming weeks in leading Chinese consumers and some investors liquidate positions to divert their focus to weighed coal.
* The Panamax Index (.BPNI) took 15-session in a row, up 18 points, or 1.1%, at 1,643.
* The average daily income for Panamax ships (.BPWT), which usually carries 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, rose $ 166 to $ 14,791.
* Among the smaller ships, the Supramax Index (.Bsis) added 21 points, or 1.6%, to 1,300, the highest level since July 23.
