ATR re -concentrates basic works

Following a wide review in the market and in light of the outstanding tensions on its supply chain, ATR decided to focus efforts to increase the competitiveness of its current product portfolio. As a result, the ATR will stop developing its short variable for taking off and landing (STOL), ATR 42-600s, which reflects the company’s commitment to align the operations with the advanced market dynamics.

The comprehensive review of market conditions, technological progress and future expectations shows a reduced marketing market compared to initial prediction. In Southeast Asia, for example, the number of targeted airports that require a plane capable of SOL is significantly, mainly due to the extensions of the runway or the construction of alternative airports nearby, and this trend is reversed in other major markets. Although this reduces the cursed market for ATR 42-600s, it means that our current production line can work at full capacity.

“As a global pioneer in the regional market, ATR has a responsibility towards its customers and stakeholders and industry in general to constantly assess its product portfolio to meet the demand for the market. The decision to stop the STO project reflects our dedication to practical efficiency and long -term sustainability,” said Natalie Tarnoud Laud, CEO of ATR.

This strategic endeavor ATR will enable the transformation of efforts towards enhancing current production lines, progressing in technological innovation, and addressing the emerging market requirements more effectively. This includes more storming North America, as the manufacturer is looking to replace aging fleets from regional aircraft and enhance regional communications from point to point.

“We are now entering the next stage of growth and improvement, as we will focus on more investment in the competitiveness of our leading products in the market, ATR 42-600 and 72-600. The submission of strong valuable suggestions to regional airlines has always been essential in our success. She added.

“As part of this commitment, we have identified a series of products improvement that aims to increase the costs of operations and increase our aircraft. These improvements directly reflect the needs and common insight with our customers. The operators and stakeholders around the world.”
