Apple CEO says:
Some new iPhone models appear for the first time at higher prices, but this does not mean that President Trump’s tariff is responsible.
“There is no increase in customs tariffs in prices to be completely clear,” Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, told CNBC from CNBC on Friday.
The note was a rare example on Cook categorically addressed the relationship between definitions and iPhone prices.
Earlier this month, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17, raising the basic price of the Pro model of $ 100. However, the supporter of beginners now comes with a compact storage capacity of 256 GB compared to 128 GB last year, which may help reduce a blow to buyers.

While Cook insists that the latest price height is not related to the tariff, the company felt the influence of the president’s commercial policies.
Cook said in a recent profit call, that Apple expects to face $ 1.1 billion in tariff costs, above $ 800 million for the previous three -month period.
