The victim’s name was redacted in an email first released by Democrats on the committee Wednesday morning, but not in a broader release by Republicans later Wednesday. The document shows the name “Virginia,” which the White House says refers to Virginia Giffrey, who accused Epstein of abusing her years before her death.
MAGA figures claimed that since Geifer himself said he was not aware of any wrongdoing by Trump, the edit was evidence of an attempt by Democrats to fabricate impeachment against the president.

Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury, a member of the House Oversight Committee, told CNN that the document came from Epstein’s estate, which had already been redacted.
Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly spoke about the Epstein case on her show Wednesday. But instead of addressing Trump’s allegations, he tried to claim that Epstein was not a pedophile, according to a person close to the case.
