Air France -AKLM moves to become the major owner in SAS
Air France -AKLM has announced that it will start procedures for a majority share in SAS, which represents a new and important strategic chapter of the Scandinavian carrier and historical strategic development in the European aviation scene.
This step reflects the long-term airlines commitment to building SAS stronger, more connected and competitive-greatly rooted in Scandinavia, with access to expanded capabilities throughout Europe and abroad.
“The Air France -AKLM is the owner of the majority, a decisive moment for SAS and a strong sign of confidence in the direction we head,” says Anso Van DERFF, President and CEO of SAS. “It is not only stability, but it will also allow the deeper industrial integration and full support for one of the world’s leading airlines groups, once organizational approval is obtained. We will be in a better position to provide more value to our customers, colleagues, and the wider region.”
SAS continues to invest in the regeneration of the fleet and the network’s expansion with recognition as the most flying in the world. This monotheism supports SAS to grow more sustainable, enhance customer experience, and enhance its role in international aviation.
“This relationship is based on mutual respect, dedication to operational excellence and strong sustainability aspirations. With the continued global interest in Scandinavia, we believe that this monotheism enhances SAS’s ability to link Scandinavia, and between the world with additions in countries.” We are still honest with our identity, our heritage and the focus of deep customers. SAS Scandinavian will remain pride in the heart, look and feeling. “
The decision also reflects a broader trend in the industry towards monotheism-a necessary step to ensure the long-term competitiveness of European carriers in an increasingly globalized market.
