AFGE says that EPA dissolves the Federation contract

The Federation said on Friday that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had a unilateral negotiating agreement with the members of the Union representing its workers.

“The Trump administration and the illegal and authoritarian action of the Environmental Protection Agency to strip the environmental protection agency unilaterally of their collective agreement and the workplace rights are no less than an attack on our democracy, the rule of law, and the life of workers working in America,” said Justin Chen, Chairman of the Government Personnel Council.

“When you strip the rights of the Environmental Protection Agency workers, you weaken the ability of the Environmental Protection Agency to perform its function and ensure that Americans can drink clean water and breathe clean air – and this is exactly what [President] Trump, [EPA Administrator Lee] Chen added:

He also said that the union will fight the decision, saying: “The AFGE 238 Council is united in our battle to defend our rights, task of our agency, and to protect the future of our country and our planet. We will see the administration in court.”

“The Environmental Protection Agency is working to implement President Trump’s executive orders hard on AFGE, including” exceptions from federal work management programs, “according to the law. A spokesman for the Environmental Protection Agency told The Hill on Friday.

The clear step of the Environmental Protection Agency comes after a similar decision in the Ministry of Old Warriors Affairs this week. Both procedures come after a federal court sided with the Trump administration on whether it can cancel these contracts.

It also comes amid a wider effort to target the federal workforce, as thousands of people are launched throughout the government.
