A preliminary agreement was reached to finish Boeing Strike
A preliminary agreement was reached to end the Boeing strike five weeks after workers left the job, the International Mechanics Association announced on Saturday.
The new deal, which still needs to be ratified by the majority of the 33,000 members of the Federation before the employees return to work, will increase 35 percent throughout the contract period and raise the company’s contributions to plans 401 (K).
The members had previously rejected a proposed deal, which led to the first withdrawal of the company in 16 years, but the union is confident of the new offer.
The initial agreement that reached Boeing Strike ended for the first time in the air freight week.
