Bannon signs support to raise the millionaire tax: “will help” Trump
Steve Bannon, a former White House strategic expert, pointed to his support for raising taxes on the wealthy under the second Trump administration.
Bannon said that if it succeeds, this step can help President Trump support a proposed third term, to which he and the other Republicans moved to facilitate him instead of the constitutional borders described in the twenty -second amendment.
“This has gone behind closed doors at the present time, and I tell you, while reducing the massive taxes, in addition to that it will give the working class and the middle class, mathematics do not work unless you already increase the taxes on the wealthy,” the former Trump counselor said on Friday.
Trump also put the idea on Friday in an interview with Time Magazine, indicating that raising taxes on millionaires can help compensate for the cost of expanding tax cuts for 2017.
“I will raise them on the wealthy to take care of the middle class,” Trump told Time.
He added: “This – I love, this. I actually love this concept, but I do not want to use it against me politically, because I saw people losing the elections for less, especially with fake news.”
However, he said that the decision could cause the wealthy fleeing from the United States to other countries.
Bannon replied, claiming that the tax increases for the wealthy will resonate well with voters in the coming years if Trump is nominating for a third.
“Politically, this will help him in his re -election in 2028.”
Trump’s ally also criticized the democratic strong who traveled against what they call the “few” of the president. He specifically took a target to Sens. Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif), MP Alexandria Okasio-Customs (DN.Y.) and former President Biden.
He said on Friday: “The Democrats did not raise any taxes on the few, and they did not raise any taxes in Wall Street, and they did not take attention.” Trump is the only person at all for the working class. “
“This, this huge tax reduction, which Democrats never did, take the attacks away from social security, take the tax away from advice, seizing taxes from the additional work for the working class members, is the first time that the working class has obtained an additional tax reduction from anyone else, and to combat Trump for that.”
According to the Republicans in Congress, the Congress is considering adding 40 percent of the higher income tax segment over a million dollars, as a Republican in the House of Representatives recently emphasized Hill. However, other lawmakers said that it is possible that there is no tax lift that would make it in the draft reconciliation law that is looming on the horizon.
Bannon suggested that the step will be “great news”.
