Baltic Dry Index fell to 2205 down 89 points


Today, Friday 12 December 2025, the Baltic Dry Index fell 89 points to 2,205 points.

The Baltic Dry Index is compiled by the London-based Baltic Exchange and includes prices of transported cargoes such as coal, grain and iron ore. This index is based on a daily survey of agents around the world. Baltic Dry reached a temporary peak on May 20, 2008, when the index reached 11,793. The lowest level ever reached occurred on Wednesday, February 10 2016, when the index fell to 290 points.
