Aurrigo International aims to expand globally with the launch of a new licensing and center programme

  • Aurrigo International plc has launched a new global licensing and regional hub strategy to expand the deployment of autonomous airport vehicles, including Auto-DollyTug®, Auto-Cargo®, Auto-Shuttle® and Auto-Sim®. Supported by a recent £14.1 million fundraising, the company will collaborate with local entities to establish operational centers in North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe. These centers will enable regional manufacturing and deployment, reducing logistical costs and aligning with local regulations.
  • The UK headquarters in Coventry will remain a hub for engineering and production, particularly for initial batches of vehicles, with international centers taking over local assembly in the future. This capital-efficient model is designed to accelerate Arrigo’s international expansion and meet growing global demand for airport automation.

Aurrigo International plc, which recently raised £14.1 million to expand its autonomous and connected airport solutions, will seek local relationships, financing, operations and manufacturing support to bring Auto-DollyTug®, Auto-Cargo®, Auto-Shuttle® and Auto-Sim® solutions to more airports and ground handling operators.

These centers are expected to be established through commercial collaborations or strategic partnerships at the local/subsidiary level, with the UK-based company contributing intellectual property, technical expertise and operational know-how in exchange for partners providing the required working capital and market access to accelerate the deployment of the product at regional airports.

In addition to its global headquarters and advanced manufacturing center in Coventry, the company plans to launch four major centers in North America (Cincinnati), Southeast Asia (Singapore and Malaysia), the Middle East (Dubai) and Europe (Amsterdam).

David Kane, CEO of Aurigo International, commented: “With the completion of a £14.1 million fundraising in September, we now have the financial platform to accelerate our international expansion and rapidly grow our business.

“The launch of our hubs strategy represents the next step in our long-term vision to become the global leader in airport automation. We believe that the combination of regional hubs, local manufacturing and targeted investment will provide a scalable framework to meet the rapidly growing demand for automation solutions across the aviation industry.”

“The demand we are seeing from major airports, airlines and logistics partners around the world underscores the growing recognition of Origo’s technology and its potential to transform air operations. As a result, we plan to transform our activities through a capital-efficient approach, with a focus on achieving significant international expansion.”

This distributed structure will complement Arrigo International’s headquarters in Coventry, which will remain the global hub for engineering, software development and primary manufacturing.

The company already operates subsidiaries in Singapore and North America, which currently support customer projects and technical liaison in their regions. It intends to establish a new center in the Middle East, expected to be based in Dubai, to serve as the regional hub for commercial development and customer support across the Gulf region and surrounding markets.

Each hub, with the exception of Amsterdam, will evolve towards local manufacturing and deployment partnerships, allowing vehicles to be assembled close to end markets.

This regional manufacturing model will seek to significantly reduce the impact of trade barriers and tariffs, reduce logistics costs, shorten delivery times, and align with regional regulatory and procurement frameworks, while maintaining the company’s centralized design and quality standards.

David went on to add: “Alongside this strategy, we will also accelerate the manufacturing of our autonomous vehicles in Coventry to meet expected customer demand.

“This initial manufacturing phase will include a significantly larger number of vehicles produced to date and will be conducted in-house at our headquarters, ensuring strict quality control, safety certifications and delivery timelines.

“It is expected that these vehicles will be deployed with key customers internationally as part of early commercial deployments, forming the basis for large-scale programs and long-term service contracts – serving as a blueprint for international centers to follow.”
