AIR ONE International Holdings expands twin-engine freighter fleet as Boeing delivers second 777F in 3 months
- AIR ONE International Holdings has taken delivery of its second Boeing 777 freighter in less than three months, marking a major milestone in the group’s fleet modernization and expansion strategy. The 107-tonne aircraft, which will be delivered directly from Boeing’s facility in Everett, will be operated by British freight carrier One Air and enter immediate service on the Hong Kong-East Midlands Airport (EMA) route.
- With this addition, AIR ONE now operates two 777F aircraft alongside a managed fleet of 11 Boeing 747 freighters, strengthening its strong position on the trade route between Asia and Europe. Since launching scheduled flights between Hong Kong and the UK in September, AIR ONE has expanded its all-cargo capacity, completing more than 3,000 wide-body cargo flights and delivering more than 300 million kilograms of cargo.
AIR ONE International Holdings has achieved another major milestone in the group’s fleet modernization and long-term growth strategy by taking delivery of its second 777 Freighter aircraft from Boeing, which will be operated by the group’s British cargo airline, One Air.
The 107-ton freighter, fresh off Boeing’s production line in Everett, Washington, is the second 777F to join the AIR ONE-operated freighter fleet within 3 months.
Following the official delivery of the latest 777F, the aircraft will arrive at the UK’s East Midlands Airport (EMA) on November 19, ready to begin commercial operations immediately on the scheduled AIR ONE route between Hong Kong and EMA. AIR ONE launched scheduled cargo services linking Hong Kong and the UK in early September, operated four times a week by One Air.
AIR ONE is one of the largest providers of full cargo capacity between Asia and Europe, having already completed more than 3,000 wide-body cargo flights, delivering more than 300 million kilograms of cargo.
The addition of a second 777F reinforces AIR ONE’s commitment to operational reliability and service consistency across its network in Asia and Europe, complementing its well-established managed fleet of 11 Boeing 747 Freighters.
“The Boeing 777 Freighter is an outstanding freighter,” said Peter Scholten, Chief Commercial Officer, AIR ONE. “The delivery of a second 777F strengthens our ability to provide consistent, high-quality services on key trade lanes between Asia and Europe. It also reflects our focus on operational reliability and long-term commitment to developing a modern, efficient fleet capable of meeting our customers’ increasing air freight demands.”
Chris Hope, Chief Operating Officer at One Air, added: “This delivery demonstrates the readiness and capability of our technical and flight operations teams to support the expansion of our fleet and network. The 777F continues to prove itself as a highly reliable and efficient aircraft, well-suited to our customers’ evolving requirements.”
