Get to know Google’s Nano Banana Pro Image Generator

Corporate artificial intelligence gradient In 2025 it is inevitable. From website banner ads to outdoor billboards, I am surrounded by images created by businesses using AI tools. Hell, even the bar down the street publishes happy hour flyers with the distinct amber glow and vagueness of some AI graphics.

On Thursday, Google announced the Nano Banana Pro, the company’s latest image generator. Many of the updates in this release are aimed at enterprise adoption, from embedding Nano Banana Pro in Google Slides for business presentations to integrating the new model with Google Ads for global advertisers.

This Pro version is a version of its Nano Banana model that was launched earlier this year. After users started posting personalized action figures and other meme-worthy creations on social media, Nano Banana became a viral sensation.

Nano Banana Pro creates an artificial intelligence tool with a set of new capabilities, such as generating 4K resolution images. Google’s Gemini app is free to try, and paid Google One subscribers get access to more generations.

One particular improvement in this release will be of interest to enterprises: text rendering. From my initial tests producing outputs with text, Nano Banana Pro improves the strange misspellings and misspellings common in many image models, including Google’s previous versions.

Google wants the images produced by this new model — text and all — to be more polished and production-ready for commercial uses. “Even if you have a blank letter, it’s very clear,” says Nicole Brichtova, product manager for image and video at Google DeepMind. “It’s like having hands with six fingers; that’s the first thing you see.” Part of the reason the Nano Banana Pro is able to produce cleaner text, he says, is a switch to a more powerful underlying model, the Gemini 3 Pro.
