Chapman Freeborn opened its office in Zhengzhou, accelerating its expansion into China

• Chapman Freeborn has opened a new office in Zhengzhou, its sixth office in China, strengthening its presence and response capabilities nationwide.
• The site was chosen for its strategic location close to Xinzheng International Airport and major logistics operators such as SF Express and Cargolux.
• The Zhengzhou team, led by Bella Zhao, will drive the growth of freight forwarding and leasing services while expanding the network of Chapman Freeborn partners across central China.

On October 13, Chapman Freeborn officially opened a new office in Zhengzhou – currently the sixth office in China, alongside Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

Opened following the appointment of its team in September, the new office builds on Chapman Freeborn’s efforts to gain a secure foothold in China, dating back to 2004. “The new team in Zhengzhou will help us further develop our market resources across the country, enhance regional service capabilities, and enhance response times. As a result, we will be able to offer more professional, timely and efficient air freight solutions to our customers there,” said Allen Liu, president of Greater. China, Chapman Freeborn.

Zhengzhou was chosen due to its strategic location in the heart of China, and its proximity to Xincheng International Airport, which has a proven track record in handling oversized, irregular and heavy cargo, as well as standard e-commerce parcels and express shipments. An additional factor behind the decision was the office building’s proximity to Zhengzhou East Railway Station and major freight operators such as SF Express and Cargolux.

The team will be led by Ms. Huizi Zhao (Bella Zhao), who recently joined Chapman Freeborn as Corporate Director for Central Greater China. Her responsibilities include leading Chapman Freeborn’s charter and freight operations, driving commercial development, and ensuring high-quality delivery throughout the region. Ms. Zhao commented: “I am honored to join Chapman Freeborn to leverage the group’s local and international resources to lead the Zhengzhou team with determination. By partnering closely with our five regional teams, we will be able to expand our commercial footprint, as well as ensure projects are delivered professionally and efficiently, and deliver solutions and services to clients with genuine care.”

Under her leadership, the team will focus on expanding the group’s partner network across central China and providing a broader range of services to its clients in Greater China.
