Using artificial intelligence to stay in the foreground


AGlobal charging sizes-driven by e-commerce, lithium battery charges, and high-value commodities-are not the spotlight on air aircraft security more clear. For Cathay Cargo, safety and organizational compliance are not just priorities; They are strategic necessities. From monitoring of artificial intelligence to CEV certificates and advanced cybersecurity, Hong Kong’s transportation company determines itself as a leader in goods security.

Lithium and e -commerce batteries

One of the greatest risks in air cargo today is an improper advertisement and dealing with lithium batteries, especially in e -commerce shipments. Cathay Cargo carried out a strengthened lithium battery examination program, which was first presented at its station in 2023 and since it was published to the air -organized cargo examination facilities for the RacSfs.

Vertion of the digital front

With more online charging, cybersecurity has become a major column for Cathy charging strategy. The airline has published a safe solution to the (SASE) access to the integrated network systems and monitoring threats.

Owen said: “Electronic risks are not theoretical – it works,” Owen said. “For this reason, we adopted the Devsecops approach, identifying and fixing weaknesses of the development process before going on the air.”

The airline is also upgrading its goods systems to verify incomplete or suspicious data procedures in close cooperation with Global Logistic System (HK), LTD.

From safe goods to high -value trust

Security does not stop at the disclosure. The Cathy Cathy Safe production line specifically serves high -value charges such as medicines, fine arts and luxury goods. Each shipment takes advantage of CCTV monitoring, trained treatments and a dedicated safety plan. One of the prominent examples: the safe delivery of cultural cultural factories from China is the mainland to the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

Cathai is also developing the port profiles for the port, based on the actual threat assessments, to enter dynamic safety measures when needed.

Looking at the future, Owen believes that Ai Agentification and Blockchain as two techniques are ready to divert goods. “Artificial intelligence agents will not only respond to threats-they will respond to them. Blockchain will give us the safe and subscriber data model needed to see comprehensive shipping.”

Cathay is already a major partner in the HKIA shipping data platform, which uses Blockchain to facilitate safe exchange of data and enhance compliance.

Ultimately, for Cathy charging, technology is not an alternative to people – it is enhancing. “We are still investing in training,” Owen said. “From the inspection of aircraft to the treatment of live animals, our employees are our strongest defense line.”
