Two US Navy planes crashed in the South China Sea

Two US Navy aircraft crashed in the South China Sea in separate incidents on Sunday, according to the US Pacific Fleet.
She added that search and rescue units succeeded in recovering all crew members in the two accidents.
The US Pacific Fleet said in a statement published on the X website that the first incident involved a US Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, which fell into the waters of the South China Sea while conducting routine operations.
All three crew members were rescued in this accident, which occurred around 2:45 pm local time on Sunday.
About a half-hour later, the US Pacific Fleet said an F/A Super Hornet fighter assigned to the “Fighting Redcocks” of Strike Fighter Squadron 22 also went down while conducting routine operations from the USS Nimitz. The helicopter that went down earlier was also a Nimitz.
The US Pacific Fleet said that both crew members successfully jumped and were safely recovered by search and rescue teams.
These events occurred while President Trump was on a trip to Asia. He was leaving Malaysia on Monday on his way to Japan.
Pacific Fleet said all personnel involved in both incidents are safe and in stable condition. She added that both incidents are under investigation.
