Patel ends the FBI’s relationship with ADL amid the repercussions of Kirk Shooting
The FBI announced on Wednesday that it was cutting its partnership with the Anti -Distort Association (ADL), as director Cash Patel issued an extraordinary attack against the group that fights anti -Semitism.
Patel criticized former FBI director James Comey, referring to a letter delivered by the group’s former director in 2014, which he called “A Love Message to ADL” when he addressed the group again in 2017. Kome was a major goal for President Trump and was charged last month.
Patel wrote on Wednesday, “James Komei,” Books “Love Letters” to ADL “, adding that Komei” Federal Bureau of Investigative Agents integrated with them. “
“This era has ended. This FBI will not participate with the political fronts that deny the two devices.”
This advertisement came the next day to finish the ADL suddenly, spoiled by extremism.
“With more than 1000 written posts over many years, ADL’s extremist is a source of high -level information about a wide range of topics for years. At the same time, it was an increasing number of entries in the diligent in the past. We also saw a number of entries that were intentionally represented and badly used.”
Although it was not dealt with in the Patel post, the radio included references to Turning Point Usa (TPUSA), a group founded by right -wing activist Charlie Kerk, who was assassinated at the event last month.
ADL had a rear founder on TPUSA, who was first written in 2019 but was updated after Kirk’s death, and indicated that he promoted Christian nationalism.
“Individuals associated with TPUSA have a history of fanatic statements about the black society, the LGBTQ community, especially the transgender people, and other minority groups,” according to a reflective page.
“While TPUSA has repeatedly mentioned that it rejects the ideology of eggs, the white nationalists have publicly attended their events. Moreover, extremists and theorists of the right -wing extremist conspiracy were presented at the American Conference and other TPUSA events.
ADL did not address Patel’s claims, but he repeated his support for the Federal Investigation Office.
“AdL is profoundly respected by the FBI and law enforcement employees at all levels throughout the country who work tirelessly every day to protect all Americans regardless of their origin, religion, race, faith, political affiliation or any other difference point,” the group said in a statement.
“In light of an unprecedented increase in anti -Semitism, we are still more committed than ever for our primary purpose to protect the Jewish people.”
Patel’s comments were an extraordinary criticism of ADL amid the Trump administration’s efforts to encourage anti -Semitism in law enforcement efforts.
However, the largest part of this work included the targeting of universities for its approach to the protests against the Hamas Israel’s struggle.
It is not clear what partnership was the two organizations. In his 2017 speech, Kumi nodded his head to the group’s work in tracing anti -Semitic incidents, hate crimes and coordination of terrorist conspiracies, praising the group to speak against intolerance.
“We are working with ADL to build bridges in the societies that we serve. We listen to people’s fears and tell them how we can help. We create a sense of confidence and solidarity, so that they know that they can contact us and rely on us to protect them,” Kumi said at the National Summit at the ADL summit.
“We want them to know that when we cannot prevent the crime of hatred, our customers and analysts will move the sky and the earth to find officials.”
Battle, Christopher Rai, previously noticed anti -Semitic attacks formed the largest part of hate crimes.
“The truth is that the Jewish community is uniquely targeted by each terrorist organization across the spectrum. When it looks at a group that makes up 2.4 percent, almost the American population, there must be something that reduces everyone that the same population explains something like 60 percent of all religious hate crimes, and so they need to help us.”
