Trump announces the definitions of medicines, furniture and heavy trucks from October 1
On Thursday, President Trump announced a large number of definitions of the product that is scheduled to enter on October 1, including duties on any pharmacist who has no factories in the United States.
The customs tariff, which was at the top of the mutual imports that Trump imposed on countries around the world, will stimulate, especially when it comes to pharmaceutical imports. Experts raised fears that this tariff can cause supply chain problems and make some medications more difficult and expensive.
“Starting October 1, 2025, we will impose a 100 % tariff on any patented patented or patent, unless the company built the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Factory in America,” Trump published on the social truth.
Trump added that the companies that apply to a facility or already under construction will be exempted from the definitions.
Trump said in July that he intends to announce the tariff of medicines, but he suggested that they start at a low rate and gradually increase, allowing companies to transfer their operations to the United States. He later threatened to impose a tariff of up to 250 percent on pharmaceutical imports.
Trump declared separately that the administration will impose a 50 percent tariff on all kitchen cabinets, bathroom arrogance and associated products starting from October 1, in addition to a 30 percent tariff on upholstered furniture.
Trump published: “The reason for this is” floods “widely for these products to the United States by other foreign countries.” “It is a very unfair practice, but we must protect national security and other reasons, our manufacturing process.”
The president also said that there will be a 25 percent tariff starting from October 1 on “heavy trucks (big!) That were made outside the United States.
“We need truck drivers to be in good and strong health, for many reasons, but above all, for national security purposes!” Trump published.
Trump has already imposed a tariff on steel, aluminum, copper and cars.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will look next to whether Trump can use emergency powers to justify his comprehensive tariff for other countries.
